Rendez Vous Diguois - A Celebration of Seychelles’ Vibrant Culture

On Saturday, April 6th, from 5 pm to 11 pm, Union Estate buzzed with life as locals and tourists gathered for Rendez Vous Diguois, a celebration of Seychelles' vibrant Creole culture. Organized by the tourism department every three months, this event is a beloved tradition.

The atmosphere was filled with the scent of delicious Creole cuisine from food stalls offering grilled fish, coconut curries, and more. Visitors also explored stalls selling handmade crafts, from woven baskets to colorful fabrics.

But the real excitement came from the traditional Creole dance performances. Dancers in bright costumes moved gracefully to rhythmic drumbeats, captivating the audience and inviting everyone to join in the fun.

Rendez Vous Diguois was not just about entertainment; it was a chance for people to come together and celebrate Seychelles' rich cultural heritage. As the event came to a close, participants left with a deeper appreciation for the island's unique traditions and sense of community.
